even if i want to become a medical doctor?

You could, but it's going to look weird. It's better to just pick a science major and start taking the required classes for med school. You can always apply to nursing school if you think you're not going to make it to med school.

You could take nursing as a major, but if you want to become a medical doctor, take pre-med.

There are a lot of skills taught early on in nursing programs that aren't covered until later in pre-med. Medical students go a whole lot deeper into A&P than a nursing student will.

While you could get your nursing degree, why would you want to? If it is to have a job skill early, I wouldn't bother. Med school will take up so much time, and then hospital rotations, that you won't have time for being a nurse.
