On New year's eve, I felt like a falling down drunk, without a drop of anything . I don't drink. Since then, I can't sleep on my right side, or on my back. When I look up, I get dizzy, it's not fun. I have vertigo meds(antivert), but it just knocks me out and can't function. I have two kids and I am a student again, about to graduate.HELP, I see a brain doc on Monday, but this is 4 days away.

Have you had your blood pressure checked like the other person suggested? Also, have you had your blood sugar checked? Try eating a small piece of candy or a glass of orange juice and see if that helps. I can sympathize...I went through a period of vertigo that lasted for a year. Some of it was an inner ear problem and some of it was anxiety that was caused by feeling dizzy. Another thing to tell your doctor....do you feel like YOU are moving or do you feel like it's everything else that is moving and that you are standing still?

I felt that way through my first and second trimester. Everyone told me the second trimester would be the best and I would be full of energy and feeling great. HA! I felt worse in the second trimester and to top it off we moved from an apartment to a house which just about wiped me out. Never move from a second story apartment while you are pregnant unless you either hire someone or it has an elevator! The worst part for me was when I would start to hate it, I'd feel guilty for hating being pregnant. A part of me felt that if I complained or felt ungrateful for being pregnant that something would happen to my baby. Totally irrational but I still feared it. I've started to enjoy being pregnant in the last trimester, I'm not sure why though. I have horrible carpal tunnel that makes my hands numb and miserable all the time. I think it must be that I have been so busy with preparing the nursery that it has made it easier. I found that Orange Juice or caffeine can sometimes help when the baby is laying in a position that really hurts.. like the nerve.
