I have Sony Vaio SZ330P and when I press the power button, it makes a sound when the VAIO logo comes on. I need to take the computer to school and all sounds must be turned off. How can I disable it?

First of all,
NICE LAPTOP

Now since it IS a laptop, it will be difficult to turn the sound up/down while it is loading... I'd say to look for an outside volume control (like a button or something that can control the volume) and turn that all the way down after turning on your laptop...

There are other ways, though, but they require actually manipulating the files that your computer runs when it first boots, but I wouldn't suggest it only because if you do one thing wrong, you'll never be able to boot your laptop again...

Put it on mute. If that doesn't work, there should be a way through the settings in the Control Panel under sounds.

There is a Megaphone(speaker icon) on the system tray. Click on it and set to MUTE.
