For a normal pregnancy this would be fine. If you've been seeing the fertility specialist for pregnancy related issues, than you may be considered a high risk pregnancy. If you did not relate the news to the OB, I would give them a call back and see if they wont move your appointment up. You should definitly be taking prenatal vitamins already. If you can't get in to see the doctor, have them give you a script for the prenatals so that you can at least start those. This is a crucial time in your baby's life when all the important organs are forming. The better your nutrition intake, the better for both you and the baby. Also, just because you haven't had your appointment yet, go ahead and feel free to call the OB's office with any questions that you may have. You are their patient now and they are there to help you whenever you need it. Congrads and good luck.

You should be fine a lot of OBs where I am at wont even see you until you are 10-12 weeks. Not to mention there are some women that never go to a Dr til shortly before giving birth. If you were being followed by your fertility specialist your not missing nothing I'm sure they did all the same checks as your OB would do. I didn't see my OB til I was 13 weeks pregnant and I was extremely high risk, couldn't get an appointment and believe it or not being his most high risk patient in 8 yrs my son was born perfect. A month early as expected but perfect in every way

The reason why they try to get you your first appointment within the first month or two is for many reasons,

Firstly it is very very important to know the conception date or date of last period. apart from that if you do not know the date the further on you get into the prgnancy the ultrasounds have a higher chance of not reading the extact weeks of the baby, the first 2 months are the least errors on the ultra sound

But... approx 30 percent of pregnancies have dating errors. For dating purposes, an ultrasound scan should be performed prior to 20 weeks; it's typically scheduled between 12 and 16 weeks.
You are still in that time so your should be more than ok, he will probably get you to take a blood test to double check the accuracy of the age of your baby inside

No i wouldn't worry too much. I didn't see mine until i was 12wks along and all is well with me (27wks now). And you were seeing a fertility specialist so it's not like you haven't seen anyone (unlike me.. i saw my normal GP once in that twelve weeks and that was it).

You'll be fine - all you have to really do at this stage is take pre-natal vitamins!

Its normal. i didn't see mine until 12 weeks. Most wait because once you are in your second trimester the chance of miscarriage drops drastically. Some see women earlier but it depends on the doctor. I too thought it was abnormal at first when my doc didnt want to me until I was 12 wks unless I was concerned about something but everyone told me it was ok.

my first check up was 6 weeks. You really shouldnt have procrastinated...its always better to get in sooner and have your blood work done to make sure everything is ok. Also to make sure that you and babys blood type are similar (cant remember what its called but you need shots if you arent compatable) i would ask to be put on a cancellation list so you are called for an earlier appt.

No, you are still fine. Perhaps you should be taking some vitamins, but a quick call to the doctor should confirm what kind. Best of luck.

You should be fine. I had to wait until I was 12 weeks along before I could see my doctor. They just do more tests in one appointment.
