Why and how do your parents embarras you? Or how do you Embarass your kids?

My dad likes to sing/dance (he has a realy loud opera-like singing voice, so that's pretty embarrasing) in public and sometimes, he acts like a little kid.

So I get him back by doing embarrasing stuff like telling ppl his age/weight, etc.

Then my Grandma always talks to me like i'm a little kid (like talking in a squeaky voice). Also, My aunt takes after my grandma with those kinds of embarrasing things.

The only reason I think ppl embarras their kids is cuz it entertains themselves (the parents). They can be pretty sick people.

So, if you embarras ur kids, they won't embarras their kids because, hopefully, they would feel bad for them after the embarrasement their parents had to go through as a kid (my grandma embarrased my mom as a kid, so she doesn't want to do it to me, but my other grandparents were nice to my dad and didn't embarass him, so he embarrases me cuz he doesn't know what it feels like).

Hopefully, the embarrasement will teach u a lesson.

My stepdad used to wait in the driveway for my dates to arrive. He is a big guy and very intimidating. Then he would walk with them to the door and ask to see their Drivers License and wrote down the info. All the while, a shotgun was standing upright against the front closet. I used to warn my dates before they came to get me.
My daughter doesn't embarrass easily. We sing and act silly all the time. We skip through the grocery store parking lot which embarrass' my fiance.

I would do it as a form of "pay back" for when she embarassed me...I would go to her school to pick her up after, wait outside her classroom and when she came out with the flow of kids would grab her and plant a GREAT BIG JUICY KISS on her cheeks. Either that or go pick her up in my ratty housecoat, fuzzy slippers and rollers in my hair, stand outside the car and when I saw her coming I'd start shouting and waving frantically, making a spectcale of myself.
Rest assured she went out of her way to not embarass ME in public...LOL

im actually not embarrassed by my mom or stepdad, my mom just couldnt be bothered with it and since my stepdad is a step parent he wants me to like him/ get along with me like most step parents are with their step children so he never steps out of line. expcet for the time at an ac concert when my mom and dennis first started going out and they showed a pda, my friends mom saw and told her daughter (my friend) then brit asked me why my mom kissed that guy which was rude on her part but that was embarrassing

I love to sing soppy love songs when my son has his friends in the car. Embarassing your children is one of the great benefits of being a parent.

whilst little ones get to the certainly embarrassed point - it is somewhat relaxing! My point of embarrassment is lots greater than my daughters. yet not something advise, like telling all and sundry she exceeded gas or different humiliation. With mom and dad like that, who could choose enemies. purely greater of - making a track in a keep mutually as she is with me, or telling corny jokes in front of her acquaintances.

When a guy takes my daughter out, I make him come into the house so I can meet him. As they are getting ready to leave, I ask the guy if they are going to "go jitterbugging at the malt shop". It really embarrasses her.

well i dont have friends over cause of my dad (i told my friends not to come to my house) because my dad would talk to them or ask them questions (stupid questions) and also, my mom embarrasses my sisterf cause every time HER friends come over shes all like "so you guys, what is the 411" (she got that line from mean girls)
