Malaga, Spain. Both in and out.
After flying into Malaga, they returned my suitcase after 1 week. Two things were missing: my St. Louis Cardinals cap and my spanish dictionary. Kid you not!
When I flew out, I had 2 pieces of checked luggage: a new suitcase and a canvas tube bag. In the tube bag was a Moroccan rug and a few other miscellaneous souvenir items. I never saw the tube bag again. Its a pity, but I was reimbursed $300 from United Airlines. I used United for the round trip, but I'd have to be desparate to use them again. They even sent me a voucher, but what good is it when they lose your luggage?
When United called, they said that Malaga had it, but wouldn't give it back. I suppose I shoulda' put down that it was worth $3,000 instead of just $300. Maybe then I would have gotten it.

I've not lost luggage but delayed by 24 hours on a flight from Paris CDG to Birmingham UK on British Airways. The bags arrived almost 24 hours after the flight departed with a note from BA and a compensation of 25 pounds. Good service I thought as the bags had been diverted to Belgium and Spain in that 24 hour period.

No airline has ever LOST a piece of my luggage. But I have had luggage delayed in arriving before and had a damaged suitcase that ultimately the airline replaced (Delta; the bag had gone through San Antonio, Atlanta and Washington Reagen National...not sure where exactly it was damaged). Delta, to its credit, gave us a bag to use the rest of the trip and ultimately bought us a new comparable piece of luggage.

i didn't but heard a friend lost his luggage when he took Singapore Airlines to Singapore but the next day they found his luggage and gave him S$150 for compensation......

I didn't but my sis lost her last yr on her trip back frm Hkg. Think someone tooks her's by mistake. She was so upset :( coz she brought many stuffs... haha
