heil furnaces are a mong the best !how old is the unit ? if it is less than 10 years old then you have a hot surface ignition and no pilot .try starting the unit 2 more times .unfortunately a furnace gets more ware not working than working there is a flame sensor that picks up dust ..its a rod next to the igniter .make sure its clean Good luck

If it's the gas let a proffessional handle bleeding the system. It could be that the ignitor has gotten weak. If that is the case again a proffessional would be your best bet. The newer style furnaces have way to many electrical components that could be damaged. That would be worse than what you had to start with.

Before spending any money, hold the pilot valve open for a considerable length of time. If the problem is air in the line.it will bleed out that way.

Of course, check to see that the valve at the meter is open, and any other valves along the way.

It depends on what line you bought. They make several lines, like good, better, best, etc. If the person said it is a heil sometimes they don't put a name on it(for the lower line). One way to tell is to open it up and there should be a data sticker on the inside side panel(normally on the right side). If it say ICP or inter city products it is a heil.It could be possible the name plate fell off.the name plate is plastic and it just snaps onto the front panel.

Chances are a spider or debris is blocking the orifice, or the gas valve or gas stop has not been turned back on.
