Where did you get the idea that any racially derogatory name is not racially motivated? And yeah; it's unfair, but there're worse
things than being called names. A person can learn to confront racism without adding to the problem. Choose who you want to be and quit worrying about the other guy so much.

I agree with you, but I wanted to give you the history of the word "cracker", cracker is a word that slaves used to describe a white man with a whip, it had it's origins, im thinking after the passage of the fugitive slave act, the men who hunted runaway slaves often carried whips to punish the slaves, and obviously their were white slave owners who had whips. Though it is often misunderstood that most white slave owners were terrible and abusive to their slaves, alot of slaves stayed with their masters after being freed, though i am not condoning the institution of slavery.

Yeah, I find it offensive if they call a white person a cracker if it's in a nasty tone of voice. I do think it's odd that we don't mind it if it's all a joke when they call us cracker, but a white person can't joke around with them using the n word.

Because cracker is not derogatory, and blax do call each other *****, but you had better get permission if you are white because they don't take it well from a cracker. I have been invited to call blax ******. But it was only because they thought i was cool.
