Individual choice! Think if anyone talks about the same thing all the time it becomes a drag but don't think there is anything wrong with individuals wanting to look their best and there are many ways to choose to do this. Obviously for some it will include plastic surgery, for others it won't. Think its sad though if its only done through insecurities and what you think you should look like. There is a lot of pressure out there and hits different people at different times. Easy to judge others I just don't like the stereotypes... not all people that have plastic surgery or spend lots on beauty treatments etc are "wags" or insecure. I'm sure there are some unattractive really boring people too!! Its all in the eye of the beholder, so long as the individual feels good that's all that counts!! There are vain boys too!!!!

I am vain. I think I am so beautiful that I don't need any make-up, don't need great clothes. I'm so vain that I don't care if I leave the house without even brushing my hair sometimes - I think I look great and don't need to bother about all that. Actually, I don't think it's being vain, I'm just comfortable in my own skin. And not taken in/manipulated by the beauty industry. The women who get cosmetic surgery are not vain at all - they are very insecure with their looks.

yes but dont put down cosmetic surgery down too much a lot is done regarding burn victims, people who have had accidents,or surgery that need cosmetically improving, and in my opinion that is where the money should be going, with a regard to cosmetic surgery it is not always just vain girls.

if they wear pretty anyway and then they get surgery, then i'd say they where vain and that's when they get on my nerves, or girls who know they dont need surgery, dont have it anyway, but spend loads on make up and her products and spend as much time in front of the mirror i think are vain and they do my head in too, but me, as long as i'm washed, dressed in clean clothes and my hair and teeth are brushed, then i'm ok, i don't really need loads of mirror time and i don't really need to wear make up anyway.

People can spend their money on what they want can't they? It depends on what is important to you. Some women don't bother with themselves at all, let themselves go etc it doesn't make them any better than anyone else. So what are you saying, girls that don't bother are somehow better people. God, talk about typecasting.

I actually feel sorry for women who are so unhappy with the way they look they will spend thousands of dollars to "fix" something that probably doesn't need fixing.

why? how does their cosmetic surgery affect you? don't they deserve to choose what to do with their bodies? I'm sure you use cosmetics but its all about degree. they choose to pay and have more extensive work, you choose to use hair moose, or shave, or dye your hair etc. a lot of people do it coz they have low confidence and don't need other people judging them for trying to build their self esteem. they shouldn't feel that way but if thats how they choose to deal with it, then they're free to do so...
