This might be one of those situations where mentioning the matter on a resume would be a dicey proposition if the person receiving it happens to be 'down' on sororities, right. Same for fraternities.
On the other hand - ....
Maybe saving it for the interview is best. I think of Groucho Marx's famous quip when invited to join a service club, "I wouldn't join any club that would have me for a member".

Sororities have a bad reputation of girls sucking off guys, (disgusting) being phony and just basically spending lots of time getting loaded and laid with people who don't really matter. Not everyone cares that you also did some good things in a sorority because the stigma is already there. I have nothing against you - I am just telling you the things I have heard from other sorority girls and from managers who do the hiring.

depends on who you're applying with. . do they have a bias against or for sorority girls?
in a way, it shows you are group-oriented and a lot of sororities do a lot of charity, etc. so if that's the reason you're including it on a resume - you may want to put down the charity work done and then just that it was THROUGH a sorority

Unless it's a service sorority, putting a sorority on your resume is like writing "I was a drunken sl*t for four years." Then again, some bosses might consider this a plus.

Do some research on your employer. Check if the CEO or managers there are from your sorority. If they are, use that to your advantage.
You can also list your sorority and underneath list some activities (hopefully volunteer work) that you guys did.

If the person hiring was a member of your sorority it can be a good thing. If the person hiring thought the whole Greek thing was idiotic, it can be a bad thing.
