Dose any one here feel they bite there nails way to much or just don't stop or cant.
My friend bits her nails tell they bleed and there are no nails left but dose not stop who else is like this ?
also a silly question but dose any one pick or bite there toe nails so they look like that are no nails left is this normal?

I used to bite my nails until they were gone. It was like a total addiction! Any white bits that had grown had to go!
I woke up a few weeks ago and had just lost the urge to chew them. My workmate was thinking the same thing so now we're being really competitive over who's look nicer (I'm winning!) and that's all the encouragement I needed. It's taken me about 10 years of trying to finally be able to keep it up.

It is normal to bite finger nails but to bite toe nails until they bleed or until like the nail of the toe is gone then that is not the normal. You shoudl tell your friend not to put her foot in her mouth (if she does) because there is a diesease you can get from putting your toes into your mouth.

its a nervous habit - my mum bit hers from three years of age - last year she had a really bad cold and just stopped after 54 years of chewing on them- so there is hope- I bite my nails until they are sore and i'm so embarrased about them- its an awful thing to do!
ps - i'm too fat now to bite my toenails!- thank god!!

No never have, but my nails are so solid I used to get my mum or husband to clip my right hand nails. As I am right hand I found it very difficult.

i bit my nails and i got it from someeone when i waz yong and its todally normal; its a habit its like chewin on pens when nerevousu cant really stop that but to tape tape on ur nails or were plastic gloves with only the fingers on

my little boy bites his toenails until they are really sore, i told him to think of all the bugs and germs he was swallowing which would end up in his tummy and make him sick. this stopped him.

Yes I do. Drinking tea and eating jam set me off.
Coffee is less of a problem.
