The very term Polycystic Ovary Syndrome suggests that cysts form on the ovaries which prevents eggs from being released. I have PCOS but I don't have cysts (at least last time they checked I didn't) so there is a greater possibility that I could get pregnant. Below are some links that provide a lot of information about PCOS.

PCOS can make you infertile, but not always.

The best way to treat it is to follow a low carb diet. PCOS is related to insulin resistance and a low carb diet will help increase your sensitivity to insulin.

If you've not yet seen your doc, do so. If you have, ask about a low carb diet. Many docs also prescribe meds that increase insulin sensitivity, these are diabetes meds. However, it's best to treat this with diet if possible.
