Let's see, he's 80+ years old. That's 9+ years past the average age at which males in the U.S. die. Cuba (as well as virtually every country with universal health care), with their horrible medical system leads the U.S. in all categories of health care from infant mortality on up. If your point was to prove that you don't have even a basic understanding of the subject, you've succeeded. Congratulations!

If you oppose "socialized medicine," fine. But, at least know why.

About Uno, wikipedia had this to say:
"In psychiatry, the term paranoia was used by Emil Kraepelin to describe a mental illness in which a delusional belief is the sole, or most prominent feature. In his original attempt at classifying different forms of mental illness, Emil Kraepelin used the term pure paranoia to describe a condition where a delusion was present, but without any apparent deterioration in intellectual abilities and without any of the other features of dementia praecox, the condition later renamed schizophrenia. Notably, in his definition, the belief does not have to be persecutory to be classified as paranoid, so any number of delusional beliefs can be classified as paranoia. For example, a person who has the sole delusional belief that he is an important religious figure would be classified by Kraepelin as having 'pure paranoia'."

What a dumb question. His medical care was equal to any you receive, and Cuba has been blockaded for decades!

Castro outlived most of our presidents age wise! Maybe that should be an argument for, rather than against!

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (born August 13, 1926) is 80 years old and just had major surgery!

If commie medicine or socialized medicine was so perfect there would have been no reason for people from other countries to flock here in droves for their surgeries..
There is a reason,
our doctors get paid well and do well for their patients.
Socialized medicine is totally lame.. you can't get half the services you can here.. there vaccines are low quality and you have to be on list for a simple operation .. sometimes months!
We have something similar here its called MediCal. Ask anyone who has used it how they feel about it.

Everything the government touches goes to hell. Socialized medicine? Wow is that ever scary. Everyone wants something for free, but government programs are anything but free and they are dangerous.

So you don't think the fact that Castro is EIGHTY YEARS OLD has anything to do with his body failing?

Of course not.

If "socialized medicine" can keep me alive until I'm EIGHTY, I think it might not be such a bad thing.

Why don't you instead jump on Canada, England and the rest of Europe where socialized medicine flourishes successfully???

SOCIALIZED MEDICINE DON'T WORK. THE HEALTHY PAY FOR THE SICK. LOOK AT CANADA, GOV'T FUNDED HEALTH CARE, AND A 60% TAX RATE ! NOTHING IS FREE.
RESTRAINTS MUST BE PUT ON WHAT HOSPITALS ARE CHARGING AND THEN OUR SYSTEM WILL BE ONCE AGAIN
EFFICIENT AND AFFORDABLE.
