Well, UK authorities can ask Swiss authorities to have Swiss bank accounts frozen, but only in major fraud cases.

Simply "not paying taxes" would not be sufficient according to Swiss law - but if dealing with drugs, falsificating documents and so on, there is no merci.

Definitely not.
The banking secret still does exist in Sw. , whatever some people say. It is a crime for your bank to give away any info on how much you have on your account and even whether you have such an account at all. The banking secret remains in force even after you have closed your account.

In some cases the UK auuthorities may address the Swiss banking committee (not your bank directly!) and has to prove that there are legal grounds to investigate (and their proof must be really, really solid!). Then the Swiss committe would decide whether to share some info with the UK. But never ever the swiss banks would allow a foreign institution to operate at their domain, let aside freezing your accounts or else.

If you are looking for a place to hide money from law enforcement and tax authorities, Switzerland is not the place to do it. They have changed many of their banking laws.

I am not going to help you hide your money.
