Mitosis is just cell division for all cells (except sex cells). It happens in both plants and animals.

Mitosis happens in Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae (plants) and Animalia (animals) which means it occurs in every living thing.

it happens in both, but when the plant gets to the last stage (cytokinesis) the stpes differ from animal
