In a sense, yes...It will be the most watched tv show of the year and since it's played on Sunday when many people are off work, it's like being a Holiday!
I wish they'd play it on a Friday and give us the day off...LOL
Imagine..."SUPER BOWL FRIDAY!"

I wish it was but no it is not although many Americans tend to " call in sick " to work the next day lol I'm gonna schedule a vacation day for that Monday because of the huge hangover i will have after the COLTS win the SUPER BOWL

It's definitely treated like one by many, but it isn't a holiday in the U.S. or any other country as far as I know. One thing's for sure, if the Saints make it to the Super Bowl, there's definitely going to be a holiday in Louisiana!

Since I live in Louisiana, we look for anything to have a "holiday"! The game this weekend is a holiday, to most. Haha! And I guarantee you -- if the Saints do win against the Bears... WATCH OUT! :) Parttaaayyy time!
GOOOOO SAINTS!

Most Americans wish that was so, but no. Superbowl is just another day to drink, eat barbecued food & be with friends. It's kind of like "Christmas on Steroids!" That is what the Super Bowl is in America.

Not at all, but some people act as if it were a national holiday.
I guess for the die hard football fans, it is a major event, but, no it is not a holiday.

Not officially, but that doesn't mean anything. Its a holiday!
You can miss work at your own risk.
