How can a corrupt file be fixed?

I downloaded 2 games ancient tripeaks and ancient tripeaks 2 After downloading the file comes up coeeupt It says The projector file is corrupt unable to continue This projector is stopping This application can't run

Sometimes this can happen when you have files of one type mapped to a different game. For example, if you name a jpg file xls and then try to open it, Excel will try to open it and tell you it is corrupted. You didn't mention which operating system you are using, but use your help system to find where your file types are associated (search on 'file types') and to which programs. If you are using a Microsoft operating system, you can also find the file with Windows explorer, then try right clicking ont he "projector' file and choose 'open with' and see if you can open it with your game program instead.

You may find it simplier to just install the game on another computer without your projector program and see if will work there.
