Roundoff. First you want to keep your hands going down in a straight line. It has to do with physics. Hand placement is important. Your hands should form a "T". As you face the line, your 1st hand goes down sideways or across the line. The 2nd hand turns back with your fingertips pointing towards the 1st hand allowing for a strong block and push.
Leg speed is critical. A long step into the round-off will initiate a better push. Very fast leg movement transfers to power. (Practice a cartwheel working on whipping your legs over the top and down to the ground in a straight line)
Now, over the top...If your cartwheel is not going in a straight line, it is pretty much a guarantee that your legs are not going over the top. Make sure your back leg is lifting higher than your hips before any turning happens. You should be reaching forward until your leg is high enough and then start to twist to the sideways position.
Do you see your feet come down towards the ground? For the time being I think you should try that. It will help you make sure you are hitting the "hollow" position on the flight phase of the roundoff. See them but by the time they contact the floor you should be changing your focus to eyelevel.
Speaking of flight... The only height in the roundoff comes from the hands to the feet. You do not want to dive into the roundoff. You want to have a long step-deep lunge, leg lift, trunk rotation, "T" hand placement, close legs at top of cartwheel, block off hands, snap while looking for your toes, shift focus. You should land in a standing postion with a slight knee bend, no deep squats or bending at the hips.

Roughly 15 years,260 days,48 minutes and an estimated 28 seconds ago. Lol I would really give it my all and try to do a cartwheel if I won the lottery. ( I would need a stretcher near by for when I make my crash landing, my back would seized, a knee would break and I most definitely would get concussion.) :)

It's a flying cartwheel (flying? not sure). you really have to work your back to perform it without injuries. just do some joga, and this exercise i saw once that you bend your back backward and try to pick your self up
