It cost to much to remove your body when you wreck it

they really wont save your life in a crash on the street, especially if you arent wearing a seatbelt. the standard jaws of life can cut thru anything but thats not the point. in a high speed collision a normal car is supposed to crush or give in certain places called crumple zones and when a rollcage is introduced the body is exponentially strenghtend so therefor the car cannot crush and soak up the energy of the impact. remember, crashes dont kill you, its the sudden stop that does.

Who said roll cages are illegal? My dad's buddy drives his 10sec Mustang back and forth to the track in Tucson all the time, and he has a full cage in it.

But then again seems I remember it is illegal to wear a full face MC helmet while driving a car here LOL

rollbar laws differ county/state to state...so they're not illegal everywhere.

as for them saving lifes .....not always infact they can be dangerous to have if your not wearing a helmet. so I really don't reccomend someone install a cheezy bolt in cage for a street car since you are far more likely to bash your head against it then have your head crushed by a collapsed roof or door.

Because, if per-chance you were in an accident where the "jaws of life" had to be used to extract you, they would not be able to cut through the roll bar.
