Depends on what you mean by "gay" and "straight". Most of the "ex-gay" leaders have admitted at some point that the "gay thoughts" never go away. That means that the orientation never changes. People can train their behavior, to "act straight" (that is, avoid gay sex and possibly partake in straight sex), but all evidence shows that even that usually doesn't last too long. The short answer is, unless you have a very odd definition of "gay", no.

No I Think Once You Are A Lesbian or Gay You Can not Become straight you will jus become bisexual being gay is not something you can turn on or off. So I Say No They Be Straight.

Absolutely NOT!

Any group or organization that even claims they can "convert," "reprogram," Or "repair" homosexuality is a FRAUD!!

The APA has issued a statement regarding the extremely DANGEROUS nature of said organizations and has noted their direct responsibility for an increase in LGBTQ teen suicide!!

Anyone who advises anyone to attend such groups should be held accountable for any self harm any of these groups subjects may inflict upon themselves!

NOT ONE of these so-called "therapies" keeps ANY kind of "success/failure" statistics because they know full well they DO NOT WORK!
NOT ONE of these organizations employs any accredited or certified therapists! NOT ONE!

Any Accredited or Certified therapist found practicing such methods will immediately LOOSE all Accreditation and Certifications from the APA!

HOMOSEXUALITY is NOT harmful nor caused by any kind of harm inflicted on those who are gay/lesbian.
There is no real correlation between molestation and homosexuality in that there are MANY more victims who are NOT homosexual!

Please refer to the Kinsey Scale of Human sexuality to better understand the fluidity of said sexuality!

No.

Regardless of the information you may read or hear even from a person who has undergone the religious counceling to go from gay to straight... that person is merely brainwashed and will, eventually end up completely miserable and/or reverting back to his/her true self.

Most of these ill intended conversions are due in part or in whole to some religious organization or affiliation. (We're talking Catholic, Christian, etc., not Pagan, Wiccan, Druidic, or the nature based forms of spirituality.) I find it a shame that anyone would think themselves to be that poor of a human being just because he or she doesn't live up to someon elses expectations. To undergo mind altering surgery (not brain surgery, MIND surgery) by allowing one's-self to be brainwashed and hypnotized into thinking he/she wants something else is nothing shy of sad.

I don't know, I guess it's like a preference like preferring brunettes over blondes, I don't think being gay is anything more obscure than that..so if you're preferences can change that way then maybe they can with orientation, I don't know, I've never known anyone who is gay to change though so maybe not. I'm thinking though that true love doesn't see gender, or hair color..or anything else..it just see's love so I'm going to go with sure!
Interesting question!

I think your understanding of human sexuality is flawed. There is a continuum that exists between homosexuality and heterosexuality. Each of us falls somewhere on that continuum. While we can't "become" straight, or gay for that matter, the potential exists in each us, albeit to varying degrees.

I'm not 100% sure about this because I've never been gay, but I think that a lesbian/gay could become straight because they were not born that way

No.
People are born with their God-given sexual orientation. Some people take longer than others to come to terms with what their true nature is. So it may appear that someone "turns" gay, or straight, but they were that way the entire time.

Was it Freud who said that human sexuality is fluid. Nobody exists 100% at either end of the scale. Who knows - the scale could slide the other way for you one day.

Not if they are truly gay. Only if they were heterosexual, but sexually deviant, which could happen as a result of confusion over their sexual identity, most likely due to some psychological problem relating to men, perhaps some kind of sexual dysfunction.
