I need to write an evocation for the Goddess Abudantia as part of a spell for increased prosperity in a time of really bad financial luck(unless a more appropriate god/goddess to petition for help can be suggested?).
I'm still learning however and have not got a terribly large amount experience with evocations, I can also find little information on Abudantia to base the evocation on. Any help greatly appreciated.

Evocation is to call them physically. Invocation is to call them spiritually. You may want to call Abudantia as an invocation, and ask her to bless you with some good luck.

Do an "uncrossing" to remove the luck, and then do a ritual to ask the Goddess to grant you financial stability. You can google "uncrossing" and come up with a number of rituals to do this. It would be a good idea to start with a clean slate, and remove the bad luck first.

Doing the invocation would be the easy part. A candle, with her name on it, some money drawing oil or roll the candle in basil, and then offer it to her with a prayer for the funds to undo the financial setback.

Work from there. There are a number of uncrossing rituals on line, they are all very similiar, and it is like a ritual bath and an asking for whatever luck has been crossing to to be removed. Easy, neat, and you do feel better after.

Hope this helps.

Before you try any sort of Evocation as well as Invocations, you need to learn alot more. Witchcraft is not something you can just fall into and do everything straight away hun. Please be very careful. As you are still learning, you need to learn to write things from your heart. What feels right to you, will be the right one to do. I cannot put an evocation on here as any inexperienced person could try it, and things could go terribly wrong. Please check out Witchcraft books, The witches bible, anything by Kate West, Janet & Stewart Farrar, The Old Ways on the net etc. But i am sure through meditation & learning, you will get the evocation you need. I wish you all the best with it.
Blessings

well the only advice I can give is to get a really good book, then as you need help dip into it and change the words to more of what your looking for, I recommend 'Grimoire for the Green Witch' by Ann Moura. ISBN number - 0-7387-0287-0

making spells and the suchlike is such a personal thing I think its always More potent to write it yourself, even if it takes much longer.

one more thing ignore the top two answers, you'll get a lot of that! if your happy with what your practising then don't give a rats a*se about what some fundamentalist Christians or ignorant idiots have to say about it. I've never felt as whole as I do now or for the past 10 years of my life being a pagan and I intend to stay this way.

Be Happy and good luck with the spell!

Well, I'm pretty sure it's Abu-N-dantia. Like, abundance. Try looking up info with that spelling.

Pluto (Latin "Hades") is a money god, as is Juno Moneta (Latin "Hera")--her face was on Roman coins.

If you want to be a little less literal, Demeter (Greek) is the goddess of grain and agricultural fertility and prosperity.

Quite honestly, if you're going to ask for this kind of thing, you're better off sticking to your chosen life deity, don't forget that the gods don't exactly pander themselves to everybody, they prefer to commune with chosen servants above those who just pop in for a visit when their aid is needed.

It's like having a leeching relative who you only see when they want something, don't feel good does it?
