To be honest If you use common sense and are behind a router you dont need anything.

AVG wont be the situation right here. It looks like a BIOS or configuration situation. before homestead windows plenty the BIOS is on top of problems with the device and it has to tell the pc the place the homestead windows initiate-up documents are. If there is an argument with the BIOS it is a robust thought to replace it. As on your 2nd question - you do not easily want AVG in any respect. even though, it is sturdy to have a backup incase something slips previous Defender. i might propose Avast! over AVG although. Edit: Re: Flix Defender is a relatively sturdy app and homestead windows Firewall does an impressive activity - it is merely not as configurable as third occasion contenders. Zone Alarms is appalling presently so i've got been utilising homestead windows Firewall for a sturdy whilst now and that i'm not swimming in viruses and worms.

What you DO need is an anti spyware program. Windows Defender is antispyware, but you can get any number of other antispyware programs for free.
I personally like Windows Defender but also use Spybot S&D , and zonealarm firewall which has a spyware engine built in.

if you have a good anti virus program then you do not need windows firewall. Aparently windows defender is not good as it was, so it is not worth using!. If you are behind another virus wall - eg at college then you will not need one.

No. I have webroot spysweeper and computer associates virus they work great. Personally windows defender is not worth the time to download it!

do u need windows defender?....its possible....it is suggested that u have
1 firewall
1 antivirus
2 spyware program
2 of the better antispy's that are free are
windows defender
spyware terminator
those 2 offer " real time " protection
here is 2 other excellent programs
superantispyware...( offers real time for $$)
spybot search and destroy...( u can use tea-timer)
i would choose
windows defender
superantispyware
spyware blaster
btw
windows defender is better then these fools areleading on
it is not the best...no
but it is better then most.....remember...it is free
if u want to pay money
then i suggust
avg antispy
superantispyware
sunbelt counterspy

I don't think you do as you have yahoo anti spy, and the two interfere or one stops the other.

I HAVE WINDOWS DEFENDER AND LAVASOFT ADWARE ALSO AVG, ZONEALARMS ALL FREE AND GOOD
