Mike Tirico is fine as the play-by-play guy, but does anyone agree with me that Tony Kornheiser and Joe Theismann are horrible? I mean, I know Madden and Michaels left some big shoes to fill, but still....
Their jokes are awkward and they ride them to death. They're constantly messing up facts and not correcting themselves. They have no chemistry or banter. They make no meaningful insights into the plays. They waste too much time with their stupid celebrity guests (aka who wants to pay us to plug their movie), though thats not entirely their fault. They happily whored themselves out to the producers of Rocky with Philadelphia's MNF game....."Rocky Story" this and "Garcia is just like Rocky" that. They're just thoroughly grating and boring to listen to.
Dick Vermeil and the "B" crew were MUCH better during the doubleheader MNF weeks. I would probably get NFL Network just to get their announcing over ESPN's cardboard punditry.

You're right about them contradicting themselves, I've noticed that too. Three in the booth can work sometimes, but doesnt in this case - Tirico does his playcalling, and then Korny and Theismann start having a conversation on their own and wander away. Its like they're a couple of buzzed tailgaters who arent really paying attention to the game.
