in 2005 it was 2.47 trillion dollars.

If you take into account the national debt our governments pays(interest only), experts can't agree on the amount. It's somewhere between 9 and 14 trillion.

And since the dollar is no longer worth a dollar (Federal Reserve Note) it's unimaginable what we pay to pay for for the fake money and deficit spending (a government phrase to make it seem appropriate to spend your taxes to pay our debt that will never be paid off).

Inflation, Bureaucracy, Corruption, Welfarism, Leaching, pork barrels, earmarks...oh yeah Theft...the diplomatic core, the UN fund, public assistance, lawsuits, building costs, NGO support, oh...and Theft.

Generally, when taxes are voluntary, they are low and utilized with frugality...when they are required by law, they are high and utilized with frivolity.
