Something similar happened to me in a class where I had an A average. Was actually one of her better students from a gpa standpoint so it really baffled me. I just realized that the school year was about half way over and i wouldn't have to put up with the b*tch next year. Then I didn't worry about it.

I've been there before in your shoes! Your teacher might have been upset that everyone was talking when there was another activity that she had in mind. I would suggest that you talk to your teacher and express that you are sorry for talking. Let her know that you felt dissapointed and singled out. Tell her you just feel bad over all about the whole thing. Let her know that now you know that it upset her that you will go the extra mile to respect her. Teachers really should have better salaries for as much as they have to do. I know that most become teachers to help guide the next generation. The worst part most of the time is the other factiluty or the pay issues or even maybe something at home. If you feel that there should be a "punishment" for the rest of your class make a suggestion that she hand out an extra assignment for the entire class to do.

Teachers have a tough job. Sometimes they can't always catch the right person. Maybe you shouldn't be talking in class in the first place. Try getting the other students to be quiet and more respectful to the teacher. I'm sure your teacher would appreciate that.

Maybe you should go up to the teacher after class and tell them that you don't like being picked on. They might understand and think that it is very brave of you to go up to them and say something. Or just go to a parent, that's what everyone always says to do...but what a parent is going to do I have no idea...

That is normal it is not just you. You probably had the wrong start with the teacher. I would just start asking more questions or have a little conversation with him/her. Just ask her/him how's their day or complement them on something. The teacher probably jumped to conclusion because he/ her has heard other teachers talk about you.

Get your parents to talk with the teacher. Do not try yourself, most teachers today will not listen to students, they will simply blow you off, but if your parents come in, they will listen.
