now i know this probably wouldn't happen, but if you were to inject fish sperm into a woman, do you think you could make a mermaid??? probably nothing would happen or you'd get sick. but you never know. half person half fish. yeah it's weird. lol.

Couldn't happen. Fish DNA and human DNA don't mix. Among other things, all fish have different numbers of chromosomes than humans, and you have to have equal numbers of chromosomes from both parents.

So what you'd have is a grossed-out woman, who'd probably beat you senseless, and a fish that has no clue what's going on.

It probably wouldn't work. As fish and humans have a different number of chromosomes the egg would not even be able to be fertilized by the sperm. Also, I believe, that sperm have specific enzymes(unique to a particular species) at their cap for getting through to the nucleus of the egg where conception happens.
As a side note, many hybrids, like the mule, are sterile except in very rare cases.

You'd seriously gross out a woman.
Nope, you couldn't make a mermaid that way.
The fish sperm wouldn't recognize a human egg as being an egg, and so wouldn't fertilize it. Even if you forced the sperm in, and shocked the egg to get it to start dividing, it'd quit and die before it got to the blastula stage.

No, I doubt anything would happen, but you might one day be able to genetically engineer a "mermaid" with human and probably dolphin DNA sense dolphins are mammals. (If we can't already) But there are two problems with that:

a. It's outside the morality of science
b. it's playing God

Sorry, I don't think you will be getting a mermaid any time soon.

Uhhh..no
Would never workbecause different species have different chromosome numbers (human 23 pairs...fish...dunno). Fertilization couldn't occur. No mermaids
