Currently have only 2 small satellite speakers. Considering getting a Sony SA-WM250 8" self-powered subwoofer instead of a center speaker. TEAC AG-V8520 surround sound receiver with 8-ohm (min.) outputs. System is for 1-room music listening only; not too loud. Is this a good idea, or should I get a center speaker instead? Don't wish to spend more than US$100.

Okay, music only correct? then you would just hook up the subwoofer to the subwoofer output of your receiver. You don't need to put it in the center and since it is for music only and not for DVD viewing you don't need the center channel speaker.

I would get a sub, but thats just me. I like alot of base in my music. It kinda depends on what kind of music too. Like rap, rock etc id get the sub. But if your listing to alot of singing and higher pitched sound, go for the center.
