There are at least two factors, 1) Yes, they followed the food , but 2) Depletion of resources in one area, including water from droughts required migration.

There is also evidence to suggest that hunter-gatherers, i.e. nomadic peoples migrated in response to climate change.

I'm in High School and currently in College-level (AP) World History.

They migrated (haha It's been a semester since we covered this) but because they're hunter-gatherers. They had to keep moving to find more food. Basically, once they ate out most of the berries/fruits, they couldn't stay in one place. They didn't know how to farm! And they didn't rely on hunting because the men could be out for DAYS and not catch anything, because they didn't have the proper weapons to get the upper hand in a hunt. Therefore, the people had to keep migrating to stay alive.

Hope this helps!

1. Alexander he conquered more land than his predecessor and so spread Greek and roman culture to other areas and kept that culture alive. He was also a great philosophical thinker trained by Aristotle (if memory serves me). 2.JC he made the strong bond between Rome and Egypt the pretty much controlled trade in the Mediterranean and on either bank. also he was a very charismatic and influential leader people would listen to him even on unpopular decisions. And that power and a want of it is what got him knifed. 3. Augustus aka Octavian he was the main victor who took over after JC's death. He was considered to not be a threat they thought him feeble but he was a shrewd and brilliant politician like his uncle (JC). He form the first triumvirate which split ruling of the vast roman empire among three, him being the main one this move was an important change in their political structure.

My best answer is that they migrated to find more food and better living conditions. As the climate changed, I'm sure they would have had to migrate to places more liveable.

To follow their food source. For example, during the Ice Age in what we now call Europe, animals moved south to find their food, so dependents had to follow!

to get more food, because of the climate, when the seasons change the weather changes. that can change the type of animals around, the type of fruits or plants that are growing. there could be a lack of resources.

because they were nomads they go where they found the food, and hiding in caves to protect them of wild animals and rain, but the main idea is they were nomads, and nomads don't live in any place
