Yes, I think it's a wonderful idea. Why let the world situation stop people from living their lives. Why should such a special event like the Olympics not take place just because a few want to spoil it. If of all I'm sure London security will be up to the task. I'm actually planning to make the trip and attend. Everything will be just fine.

This logo says nothing about London or the rest of the UK for that matter. The designer(s) and the people that chose it must see something in it that I can't. Maybe I'm dim or something but it doesn't represent the vibrancy of London, the history, the culture, nothing whatsoever. What a shame that half a million quid has been wasted on nothing more than a squiggle. Why wasn't a competition held for school kids to design it. Would have been cheaper and a better job too.We could have had an open competition to design a logo and then spend the money on an established design firm to neaten up the winning design if needed and hey presto, something designed by the British and chosen by the British public.

It is a good idea, the IOC knows what it is doing. London won it's right to have the games and should have it. In the past London has revived the Olympics and made them better So at lest they have done it before.

Also the games will be in a free nation. Not be staged to show off power, but Peace

It's a fantastic venue but it's going to cost a fortune and be a security nightmare. Good luck London!

great for London, just think of all the improvements that will have to be made to the city and surrounding areas!sports will be on at a reasonable hour, and since i'm from ireland, I might be able to go over easily and see it.its also great for the british athletes, they wont have to get to grips with a hot climate!

It's a top idea, means I won't have to watch the 100m final at 4am.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Major city, has plenty of infrastructure, could deal with a bunch of visitors in a short period. What's wrong with it?
