You should pick a rhyme scheme first..
if you're not good at rhyming, use a rhyming dictionary like rhymer.com.
As for the subject matter, I would talk about the intricate pattern of how the leaves are laid out on the ground, and how vibrant their colors are, and somehow connect their drifting off the trees and being swept on to the ground with some deeper meaning(s) in life.

Not very hard... you have to create it though. No one will do it for you.

Poetry is awesome because it doesnt have to right... everybook you have ever read is poetry to the mind if you remember it... right what you see and then look back to see what could be more poetic... For example... you see a boat rocking... Right the boat rocked in the water... Then spice it up... The boat swayed as the waves came crashing from left and right... it was as if i knew i would never servive

Describe how it makes you feel or think about. Maybe even try to connect it to something else. I would recommend free verse since it's probably the easiest way to write poetry.

Well, not my best effort, but I did just dash it off:

"The leaves have fallen, one by one
They make a pretty sight
The reds and greens, the browns and golds
All shimmer in the light

The children love to see them fall
They gather them in play
For they do not suspect at all
They, too, will die one day

So, for the leaves then, let us mourn
But when our time is through
Unlike the leaves, we will be born
To live once more, anew

Do your own homework! It's not that hard when your writing poetry, just write what you feel.
