Yep. Good choice and he's timeless. Try " The groom's still waitin' at the altar " "Jokerman" and "Series of Dreams" for just a couple of goodies ! Also the great "Positively Fourth Street" There can be only one Bob Dylan. Good to see someone with stereo on and telly off ! We need more !

You mean his recent stuff, or has his old stuff stood the test of time?

I mean, a lot of it, you have to love it. Like, from "Visions of Johanna": "the ghost of electricity howls in the bones of her face."

I mean, there is just some kickass imagery and metaphors in Dylan's writing. Then, he's good at kicking you straight in the nuts, too, like on "Positively 4th Street".

He does as he pleases, and it is almost all good. I find his short-lived Christian period a bit painful. And, the mid 80s to early 90s were not a good time. Other than that, lots of goods there. Hard to go wrong.

Bob Dylan's' lyrics are great!
They're deep but totally trippy at the same time.
And i love how you can misinterpret them. I mean, get someone to listen to 'subterranean homesick blues' for the first time and tell them to decipher the lyrics.. the results are always amusing..

It makes me sad to see his new album in the bargain bin :(

Very versatile. He has crossed and blended many genres -- everything from folk, rock, country and gospel. His voice wasn't right for every song but some of the remakes are extraordinairy.

I always liked his voice for Subtrerainian Homesick Blues and The Hurricane though. Yes he's older but not outdated. Good stuff.

There are too many super alternatives. i will upload "Love Minus 0/No shrink" ("She's have been given each thing she needs, she's an artist, she do no longer seem back") to others above that are obtainable first alternatives for me ("Like a Rolling Stone" became the 1st I ever heard and probably my actual in demand, "Blowin' interior the Wind", "shelter From the hurricane"). As for lyrics that intentionally do no longer make experience, on an identical time as i think of if I pulled out Blonde on Blonde to work out the music itemizing i might locate others, "caught interior of cellular With the Memphis Blues back" (He in simple terms smoked my eyelids and punched my cigarette") is a lyrical in demand.

If not for you
I'd be sad and blue
and this cold black cloud is comin' down
come in she said, I'll give ya shelter from the storm
There must be some way outa here
I aint gonna work on maggies farm no more,
dont think twice
I'll be your baby tonight
play a song for me, i aint sleepy and there aint no place I'm going to
Tangled up in blue.

With apologies to R. Zimmerman. I love you.

I've grown old with him! Dylan's done some crap over the years, but he's Dylan, isn't he? He is a genius, and can do what he wants. Heard him sing Mr. Bojangles? God help us...
