I haven't stayed there, but I have sent plenty of folks there on vacation, and have gotten excellent feedback.
The Iberostar Punta Cana Resort is located in the Iberostar complex on a beautiful stretch of Bavaro Beach along with the Iberostar Dominicana and the Iberostar Bavaro All Suite Resort - in a very large "U" shape (if you will) with the open part of the "U" facing the ocean. It shares a lot of the facilities (such as the casino, day camp, some pools, & restaurants) with it's sister resorts. The good thing is that you can go to any of the three, except for dining at the Bavaro, which is a higher rated (and more expensive) resort. The Punta Cana and the Dominicana are virtually twin resorts that face each other.
The Iberostar is rated as a deluxe resort that offers 24-hour all-inclusive, domestic AND imported liquor (very important!), six restaurants, & four bars.
I'm sure that you will enjoy your vacation. Have fun and don't forget the sunblock!
