There is much more information about this than the link you have provided. There is a book written about it by an ex-minute man, I can't recall the name at the moment. I have heard about this plan for about the last year or so. Bush has quietly signed into law a lot of legislation to move forward with the North American Union, such as building a highway from Mexico to Canada that runs through Kansas. Infowars.com has some information on the subject, I assume you could also google search and find a lot of information on it. I think most people don't know about this because they are immersed in other things like the war, and others are just not interested enough. I think this is why Bush has not been very interested in securing our borders, and the illegal immigration problem. I am fearful for the future of the United States of America as we know it.

This is yet another demonstration of the disregard our President holds for all of us. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=14965 Even when Human Events, a conservative publication tells this story, no one believes it. As answers you have received show, people will deny that it is possible.. How could our dear President do this? The same conservative source adds this about the super highway linking Mexico with Canada through the US, already underway!, which will expedite this change in our reality, and still people do not believe! http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=15497
One can imagine when Americans will have to pay a toll to the King of Spains company which apparently has the contract to build this road through the US, what reaction there will be.
In the present climate of anti-illegal rhetoric going around, wait until the border with Mexico is soon to be open in this treaty. Then Bush's friends will have it legal that they can have the cheapest labor from Mexico here, and even cheaper if they move their companies to Mexico, all under the friendly and watchful eye of BushCo. Goodbye more American jobs! These men mean us harm, and it is time Americans WAKE UP!

We are a democracy as well and for Canada to join into anything more than an economic union, which we already have done with free trade deals with both the U.S. and Mexico, would require a vote. A vote which would have absolutely no chance of even getting anywhere near a majority. If you have been unaware of Bush has been doing, it was Reagan that signed a free trade deal with us back in the 80's. As far as with Mexico, I cannot say for you but we signed free trade deals with Mexico a few years ago.

For the benefit of those who don't follow your link, the substance of the news story is Obama's appointment of Ron Kirk as trade chief. The appointment of Ron Kirk is SURREAL when taken together with Obama's campaign promises about NAFTA and generally about improving the lives of everyday people. If that appointment isn't enough to convince people that Obama is a CON, nothing will be. They (Obama and his handlers and insiders) have become so arrogant they are not even pretending to be on the side of the common people any more - as more and more appointments are made that clearly show the status quo will continue ON ALL FRONTS. To answer your question .... the Obama Administration will follow the same path as the Bush Administration because they answer to the same masters - the banksters and the corporate elite. To save America, people must wake up in time for 2012 to vote in Constitution-friendly politicians. It may already be too late. Can middle class America survive another 4 years of the status quo? Maybe but its questionable. Can middle class America survive another 8 YEARS of the status quo. Absolutely not.

First I have to say thanks for providing that U-tube footage. I had no idea this has transpired. This is, in no uncertain terms, insane. However, I did notice an oddity in the film. First, the timing was off in the video; then they're saying Bush did this in 2005, but they show Bill Clinton signing a bill.
So, I'm wondering and will also check out the White House Web page. IF this had occured in 2005 there would have been a total media blitz and the fact that it was not brought before Congress is very hard to swallow.
But, thanks for the insight.

Yes, they've been working on this for some time-you can find articles in mainstream media if you search(you'll never see headlines or them on the front page...guess you could make a case that it's a good thing but why has it been a big secret? The illegal immigration "issue" seems more like a smokescreen while they quietly build the Super Highway from Mexico to Canada....
Lots of good links-do a little research

Yes, I have heard about this, and it is a very bad thing. If it was a good thing for us, they wouldn't have been keeping it a secret, and they would have given the people a chance to research it, debate it, and vote on it. But, they have no interested in what the people think, or what the people want, or what the people need. They are only interested in forwarding their own agenda!!! And the people had better wake up, and stand together against all the evil things these evil people are trying to do, or we are all going to end up enslaved in a police state, and we will only have ourselves to blame for letting it happen!!!!! Wake up people!!!!

There are economic treaties in place to eliminate tarriffs, but anything else is nonsense....there probably have been officials talking about it over the last 200 years, but it ain't gonna fly. Now that Al Franken is going to win the senate seat in my district in '08, we in Minnesota will form our own union and barricade the borders...Iowa will be the buffer zone...

That is probally Bush's way of securing the borders with Mexico and Canada, this is the easiest way for him to say that we have allies next door to us. That way there would be no need to send the National Guard to the border patrol and they would be more available to fight his private war of greed.
