I heard they are turning it into a maximum security prison. Maybe they should open up that WalMart there instead of that other mall?

Re: leaving the mall - their sales weren't good, became a liability to the company and so they closed it.
who will take over the space - a store that will be able to pay rent to the mall

walmart ran 'em out, and walmart will fill the void. having a walmart more than 1.5 miles from another walmart is horribly inconvenient

most likely business wasn't doing so well in that location so they thought it was better to leave.
some other business will take that space sooner or later
