14 is waaaaay too young. Instead of thinking of it as as what age, ask yourself this....

"Am I ready for a child ?" When you are ready to have a baby, or deal with an STD, then you should think about having sex.

Do a google search for sexually transmitted diseases, look at all the possible things you can catch, then decide if you love the person enough to risk it.

You really need to talk to your parents, also. It's a difficult thing, I know, but they will give you the best advice, because they love you.

I have seen too many young adults becoming parents because they thought "It wont happen to me", or they thought a condom would always work.

Even kissing can expose you to herpes, how would you look with a huge cold sore on your face once a month for the rest of your life?

Dont think it cant/wont happen. Being curious about sex is very natural, and it can be a wonderful and beautiful experience, but there is alot that can go wrong. You need to know all the dangers and possible outcomes before you make your decision.

I don't even think you should seriously consider having sex until you're about 16, and actually committing the act should be at about 18-23. Of all the people I know, the ones of a healthy mental state did the deed when they were at least 18. Those I know who were overly eager and did it before 18 all tend to act of a different, lesser, mentality.

Yeah I lost mine at 14 and I now see that I was too young. I was "in love" but the guy changed a year later and we broke up. But I don't regret it, I'm just glad that I had the expirence. But if I had the choice to wait, I WOULD! I would at LEAST wait til 16-17. You have your WHOLE life to f* up! Remember that and boyfriends are ok but school should be #1!

Defiantly not when you're 14...that's for damn sure! A good age is when you're married and you know that you love the person and you're ready for all the emotional feelings that comes along with sex. Plus when you're married and if you "accidentally" get pregnant you won't have to worry because your husband and wife instead of boyfriend and girlfriend.

There is no "good" age to lose your virginity. There's only the right age for each individual person. Everyone is different, and there's no way to create a set standard that would fit everyone, especially for something like that. Personally, I was 23 when I lost my virginity (though it wasn't entirely my choice to wait that long). Some people lose their's younger.....some older. It just depends on what age feels right.

It's all about maturity. Can you handle the emotions of a sexual relationship. Shucks - we have 40 year old's who can't handle sex sometime. So a 'good age' just depends on the person.

It just depends on where your mind is at. Responsibility is a factor as well.

There is no 'Good' age. But put it this way...when you think you are ready to play a game of russian rolet, then you are ready to have sex. Nothing good comes out of sex....just look around you. When you feel that you can take on the risk and responsibilites that comes with sex...then you are ready. i.e. when pregnancy, HIV, AIDS, HPV is not an issue to you, then you are ready.

Plus, if you feel a need to post a question about how to know when you are ready,,,your not ready.
