Not sure there is one particular one but if the posts are on your side it is normally your fence. You should check out your deeds!

The person that owns the fence. If it is wend damage it is usually covered by your Home owners INS. The other party is not responsable unless the fence was directly on the line. If it is on your property ,he cant attach onto it without your concent. There has been many court cases on this issue.

When you look out the back of your house the boundary fence/wall/hedge to your right is your responsibility. Mine has just blown down but luckily my neighbours have offered to go halves as it is not covered on the insurance. Hopefully you have nice neighbours too!

The right answer is it depends on who's property the fence was built on originally if the fence was on your side of the property line it would make it your responsibility

In the UK the general rule is the house that has the fence posts on its side is the owner. Courtesy would suggest both neighbours share the cost.

It used to be if standing with your back at your backdoor the one to the left only think that may have change to party fences so 50/50 you would need to check I know in my house it is the one to the left as they keep telling me so

it depends on where the fence is constructed, if it is on your side of the line then it was erected by you or the previous owner of the house. In that case the responsibility and also the choice of whether to replace it is yours. If it was erected on your neighbors property it is his, he also has the choice of whether to replace it and burdens the cost.

You are responsible for the fence that is around your house. So is your neighbor. You share responsibility. Talk to them about getting it fixed and spliting the cost.

i'm guessing the fence that you paid to get put up or the one that belongs to your property is the one you pay for to get mended if it blows down
either that or you and your neighbour could share the costs between you

If this is the UK...it is stipulated on the deeds of the property which boundary is whose responsibility.

If you have a mortgage...contact your lender. They hold the deeds and will tell you which boundaries are your responsibility and which are your neighbours.
