Scene in 24 Hour Party People where there's a mini riot at a gig was based on an incident in my home town...like to say I was there, but I wasn't. Knew the guy who started the trouble, though... he was called Mick Edyvean, and he was a proper ********, and he got a slap. I hope this has been educational. Truly original band. I never saw them live , coz i was to young, but my brother watched them live in Manchester and he say it "was the best F***in Gig he ever seen", Ian Curtis was brilliant , going in a out of hepileptic fits on stage why strobe lihgts lit the stage. I seen the video and its mad , nothing as come close ever since!!!
