Well, who says he's dead? Rememeber Tony? He was shot in the neck and survived so Curtis could still be alive. Time will tell, though. If Curtis is in fact dead, then it was done for a purpose, perhaps to further isolate Jack. Heh...it's not safe for anyone to get too close to Jack....they have a much higher chance of being killed!

I think they did it to up the stakes. They are running out of important people to kill off the show. they want to show the cost of all this mess and he is a meaningful character so his death will impact the audience, they did the same thing last year with edgar and a few other people i think.
