i asked this question last night but i didn't get it to work

cd "c:\Documents and Settings" if ur using cmd
cd c:\docume~1 if ur using command

are you talking about changing the default or just moving from folder to folder?

If you just want to move from folder to folder type in "cd.." (without quotes) until the prompt just says "C:>" then type "cd foldername" and it will move you into that folder. From that folder, you can move into any folder located within. if you want to go back, use "cd.." to go up one level.

Also, the command "dir /p" is helpful because it will show you a list of files and folders until the screen is filled, and then stop until you hit the spacebar, then keep going, and stop every time the screen is full.
