how do teens afford drugs without some sort of income (ie. a job)

I really hope you aren't asking for your benefit, and you just wanted to know how they afford it. My boyfriends friends are "druggies" without offending anyone (it's the only way I could describe it haha) and before they had jobs they would usually sell things they didn't want anymore to get money. They would take DVDs and Cd's and bring them to CD and DVD places and get money for them. I would not say stealing is a good way to keep the habit going, but I know they would try to take money from their parents/siblings (which is so low). I'm not condoning drugs, but I would go with the selling stuff. Or just get a job, but in that case... kick the habit and save up to buy things that are better for you.

They sell them or work. They forgoe things like food. Steal... have older friends who buy it for them. Many teens who do drugs can come from a high economic class and have more disposable income given to them. I work at a low income nonprofit private school and many of these children often eat McDonalds for 5 or more dollar everyday for breakfast and thats only in grade school

Usually through lying to their parents and illegal activities such as shoplifting, petty theft and prostitution. I hope this is a serious question and not just something to make light of a crippling emotional and physical disease (addiction). If you're asking for yourself, as a means to get ideas for money for drugs might I suggest going to NA.org because you might be an addict yourself.
