How does the new "stars" option on Y!A make you feel?

I don't like them much... It almost seems like I'm rating the person, rather than the question.
"Oohh! Look at how many stars I have!"
Or maybe I'm just looking at it the wrong way? I dunno...
Also, the stars make me feel like I'm a hotel or a product... *sigh*

Now, it seems that you can't state that a question is a bad one. One not well written, understood, spelled, or rude. Seems like it's now just for the purpose of "feeling good" without any consequence, without showing the person how the community really feels about the question or subject.

I really haven't given it too much thought as of yet; however, I have noticed that Yahoo does not let you give "thumbs down" anymore, and really where is the fun in saying good job, i.e. Starring them, all the time if you can't occasionally tell them they suck with a "thumbs down."

Im not so sure I like them either. Seems like it would be human nature to be more excited for the stars now. On the other hand, it might generate some really out there questions. I havent gotten one yet so, not sure how exciting it is. :)

I am here for pure entertainment....so the stars really mean nothing to me!! But I will give you a star if it makes you feel better!!!

Feel as though I've been dotted on the head, and seeing stars from the impact.

It makes me feel like a little kid again. Get a gold star on your forehead for each question asked...lol. Next thing you know, they have little dunce caps for when we get a violation.

I agree with u 100 per cent. i think it's an added feature that is highly unnecessary!

I don't like this feature either, especially because a person can see who "starred" them. imagine what will this cause...
