Symptoms of a miscarriage include:

Vaginal bleeding that may be light or heavy, constant or irregular. Although bleeding is often the first sign of a miscarriage, first-trimester bleeding may also occur with a normal pregnancy. Bleeding with pain, however, is a sign that miscarriage is more likely. 3
Pain. You may have pelvic cramps, abdominal pain, or a persistent, dull ache in your lower back. Pain may start a few hours to several days after bleeding has begun.
Blood clots or grayish (fetal) tissue passing from the vagina.
It is not always easy to tell whether a miscarriage is taking place. A miscarriage often does not occur as a single event but as a chain of events over several days. One woman's physical experience of a miscarriage can be very different from another woman's experience.

As long as the blood is brownish, I wouldn't worry. If the blood is brown, that means it is old blood that could have been from implantation. If you are really concerned, I would talk to your doctor. I had the same thing, and I am currently 30 weeks along. Best of Luck

I started spotting brown at 5 weeks and continued until i was 13 weeks. I am now 16 weeks and everything seems fine. I had to relax, come home from work an do nothing. Last year i also started to spot at 5 weeks but ended up having a miscarriage at 9 weeks. I think that the bed rest really did help-i even took 1 week off of work and noticed that it became lighter. Please keep your hopes up. I hope that everything will come out fine. :)

I would suggest consulting a Doctor. That doesn't sound good and that just my opinion, but again I am NOT a doctor. Call you local hospital Emergency room if you don't have a doctor they R trained to give you the best advise on the next step U should take. Sorry! to hear about your 1st baby that is really sad. R.I.P

First of all I am so sorry for your loss...that would of been very hard.

When I was pregnant I had the same brownish blood too and got really worried so I went to see my doctor and he said that it was all normal and not to worry.

When my mum was pregnant with me she even had full on periods and I was fine when I was born.

So it's normal and there is no need to worry but if you want some comfort always refer to a professional for advice.

All the best

It could be implantation bleeding. I would not worry but make an appointment with your OB as soon as you can and discuss this. If you are having a miscarriage there is nothing any doctor can do about it, you just have to get through it.

I would call the doctor and see what is going on If everything is allright and you can carry this one to term or even if you do misscarry you need to talk seriously to your doctor about birthcontrol my god you are only 13 you are still a baby whether you like it or not go play with your barbies I'm sorry but you should be in state custody.

If it is brownish colored that means it is old blood. You should still call your doctor and let him or her know what is going on, but you should be fine as long as it is not BRIGHT RED blood, that IS a cause for concern. My deepest sympathies for your loss, it's hard, I miscarried last month. I wish you the best.

If you are not cramping, it is probably implantation bleeding.
Brown blood is old, not active bleeding.
If it becomes heavier and/or brighter red in color, then you should worry and call your doctor.
I am very sorry for your loss. I know you must be scared, but try to relax and keep your chin up.
