My wife and I went to a great place 2 years ago: L'Amour dans le four. It was dark and cozy with the perfect music playing (it looks like a Parisian cafe) and candles at each table. The dinner was good and only about $90 (fixed Valentine's day menu). We'd probably be going back if we didn't live in the EB, crossing the Bay Bridge was murder.

I would try Aziza, or the Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton, Michael Mina, or my fave, Gary Danko. I think they are all on opentable.com where you an look at menus, prices, and make a reservation.
