My sister made me aware of my snoring. I denied it until she recorded me and played it back. I was so embarrassed. I sounded like a bear in a cave.

My husband is a loud snorer as well. The only thing I've found that helps at all is to keep a loud fan on by our bed all night and to wear ear plugs. I can still hear his snoring, but it does make it sound a lot lighter. I use "Mack's Safe Sound" ear plugs since the research I did revealed earplugs with that shape are more comfortable for most people than other types of foam earplugs, and it has a noise reduction rating of 29 which means it drowns it more noise than most earplugs. I have also heard from somebody who says they spoke to a doctor who swears that if you take one Claritin right before bed time, it should stop the snoring. The doctor says that so far all of his patients have had luck with it. I haven't had my husband try it since it's just one doctor, and my husband doesn't even have allergies. You may want to give it a shot though.

I snore so loud there are some neighborhoods with a noise ordinance preventing me from moving in. I can scare children and animals. I rattle windows. I also have sleep apnea, which is why I am snore so loud.

No. I got my tonsils taken out. I swear and talk and walk though. The people I sleep next to usually think i'm undergoing an exorcism rather than yelling at me...♥

I believe being in better aerobic shape helps too. If you work out hard, your breathing is better, and you don't need to gasp air as much and that helps you sleep more peaceably.
