it doesnt matter where you go for your pre med. Actually the easier the science program at your school is, the better. Why the stress of being in a school with a tough science program that decreases your chances of getting into med school? You will get accepted into med school, no matter where you, provided you get strong grades etc.

Find a ranking of the best universities in the US (e.g., US News ranks them). Those are also the best schools for pre-med. In fact, for any disciplines in the arts or the sciences, those are the best schools to go to. Things switch up a little when you get outside of A&S -- since some of the top universities don't have great engineering or business programs.

But for Premed -- just look a the list of top schools.

UC-Davis would be an excellent choice -- as would any of the UC schools. The only problem with it is that it is in the middle of nowhere.

You might have to improve your GPA in the next year to get in. Taking AP classes will help you get into a better school and will also improve your GPA (if you do well)

For pre-med it doesn't really matter. Pre-med is not really a major. You major in something else and take whatever classes are necessary to get into med school. The med schools I have looked at will actually consider students with 3 years of undergrad and no B.S as long as they have completed the requirements. Research all the med schools you'd like to attend and make a list of what you should complete as an undergrad to get a chance at all of those schools. I did this and found out that JHU actually had less requirements than UNMC, so be careful with that, I was just going to go by JHU at first, bad idea!

My advice, complete your degree at the same college who has the med program you want to attend. I'm sure they will be more likely to consider you and that is what I am going to do. Or check the top feeder schools for the med school you want to attend.

I only know of the midwest regions top med schools so I can't help you with that. :(

There's really no such thing as a pre-med university. Med schools don't care what school you come from, or even what your major is.

They primarily care what your grades and MCAT score are. You need to fulfill their required courses, but you can do that at any school or major you choose.

With a 3.0 GPA, you're going to need an incredibly high SAT score to get into UC Davis.

The score of premed courses is tremendously a lot an same because the score of undergraduate courses. US information ranks UC-Davis at #40 2 interior the U. S.. u.s. is #38 and u.s. is ranked #40 4. those colleges are tremendously a lot similar and rated heavily to different large public universities (e.g., Georgia Tech, college of Illinois and college of Washington) and enormous deepest universities (e.g., Syracuse, NYU and Case Western). Ag colleges easily practice you okay for drugs.
