A loop cassette is a special cassette that has a piece of tape that has both ends attached to each other and is installed in a special way that lets it play without stopping. Unlike regular cassette tapes that have a spool at each end (and you have to rewind or reverse the player), a loop cassette simply looks like one piece of tape that never ends, These tend to be short in length and are mainly used for announcements or outgoing messages in some answering machines.

TDK still makes them ( http://www.amazon.com/TDK-EC3M-Endless-Loop-Cassette/dp/B000000O3G ) and you can find sources by simply using Google to search for "loop cassette". When you get it, simply record on it as you would any cassette.
