my girlfriend wakes up and her hands are numb everymorning, and sometimes when she walks her knees give out a bit, and she always has no energy and is a little overweight and she always seems to have something wrong with her...Is this a sign of diabetes??

Could have carpal tunnel. I do & sleep with wrist braces & they do work. It's winter too a lot people get the blahs now. B-12 shot works wonders, or any of the B vitamin. I don't think this a lone is a sign of diabetes. I'm going to attach some things I found for you. Please see below sites on diabetes.

Might be just poor circulation... or lupis... could be something else. She should really talk to a doctor.
