but i mean, shouldn't someone think for theirself? wouldnt that be even 'stronger'??

there is no such thing as a weak mind, there are constructive and destructive thought processes. Rememeber this my dear, if you don't control your mind, your mind will control you.Think peace , harmony, happiness always.

No, not necessarily. Sometimes people just need an unbiased viewpoint to sort out their lives because when someone is in the middle of a frantic situation, they may be unable to see all sides of it or to think it through logically.
Also, some people have labored most of their lives with ideas that they think are accurate, but really are not. It's good to find out if our beliefs were based on something that might have been true at one time but no longer is. Then expectations and reactions can be adjusted or brought up to date. This relieves some stress as well.

I believe that it is always best if we try to work out our troubles ourselves. But if we seem really stuck and not making much headway with a significant issue or problem, or can't seem to figure what's going on, or even where to begin with our efforts, then it can pay to see a therapist. As they say, "two heads are better than one." A good therapist will be like a guide, pointing you in the right direction by basically helping you clarify your situation and then discover what you probably need to be doing more of or less of. If you try your very best but can't figure out how to diagnose and fix your ailing car, does it mean are you "weak minded" if you bring it to a good mechanic?

Therapy and psychology I believe is for the strong minded. You have to be strong to admit there is a problem and you need help fixing it. Weak minded pretend it did not happen and/or does not bother them. Most likely to turn to drugs and alcohol.

Strong minded people generally will not go to counselling, even if they need it. You do have to be very careful when selecting a counselor. You want to make sure you select someone that has similar values as you. Otherwise, a counselor could talk you into doing something that goes against your values.

I feel that people asking for help is truly a sign of stregnth. I believe that "weak-minded" as you put it are those who refuse to change their way of thinking and refuse to improve their circumstances. Therapy works and does indeed help millions of people.

They dont do the thinking for you...in fact they mostly just listen to the person...my aunt was one in Canada..a very well known one that work in the capital..and saw many very important people...mental health is as important for one to adress as is physical health in fact I dont think you can really seperate the two.

It can be helpful sometimes if it gets people to face what they are in denial about and grow however a good friend can probably do that too.

I mean if you believe that your not socially strong and really need help you should visit one>Also in a Health class I visited recently >The professer explained to me recently that no one is to big for therapy.So take dont care wat anyone say
