Does any one know of any rules on rounding time?

If something has a tolerance of 72 hours +/- 1 hour, Would 73 hours and 10 minutes be within specification?

Can you interpret the specification as being 70 hours and 30 minutes to 73 hours and 29 minutes?

Any time between 71 and 73 hours would be within tolerance.

What you suggest would be +/- 1 1/2 hours

1. No, 73 hrs 10 min is +1 hr 10 min, more than 1 hr
