Yep - my first urine test at the docs came up negative and i KNEW that was wrong - i insisted on a blood test and it came back positive and i'm currently 27wks pregnant. I maintain the reason it was negative was because he didn't wait long enough - especially since i was so early in my pregnancy. He waited about 30seconds before deciding i wasn't pregnant because it didn't come up straight away (not my normal doc but one that was filling in). After i insisted on blood tests i got the results from my normal doctor who told me the "substitute doctor" one was an idiot and lucky i didn't listen to him! lol

It was probably too early for the test to detect the low levels of pregnancy hormones. If you do not start your period a few days after it is due, have another test done.

My Doctor's office's test was negative when read at the five minute mark. They say not to read after that , but my doctor accidntally left the test out and after 10 minutes, it turned pos.
She called me, telling me, even though she knew she wasn't supposed to take a read then, she would call my test "unequivocal and have me get a serum test. It was positive.
The tests at the office and the ones you buy are the same.

Mine has. My urine tests don't test positive until 6 weeks pregnant. If you still think you are pregnant suggest that your doctor due a blood pregnancy test.

I've always tested positive as soon as I missed my period, so I have never had a false test

Yes they are not 100% however they are usually accurate. I believe they measure hormone levels to indicate the response so maybe you are not far enough along to test

i don't think the doctor would be wrong i think it could be a faulty tester that does happen. And the doctor is only human so yes they sometimes can give a wrong diagnosis good luck
